FACTOIDS & TRIVIA
The Legacy was the first new guitar model produced by G&L after its acquisition by BBE in 1992 and was meant to offer a more traditional S-type guitar. It used a mix of old and new features. Old features include the S-500 body and neck, veener fingerboard, hardware, PTB circuit, and Sperzel tuners with split shafts. The new features included a satin headstock finish, semi-gloss neck finish, slightly different neck carve behind the nut, "bathtub" pickup cavity route, taller and narrower frets, Strat-style control knobs and of course, the Duncan pickups. The guitar shown here is finished in an early version of Belair Green that is darker than true Belair Green.
