FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

The Guild X-175 Dynasonic was a short-lived variant of the X-175 Manhattan Special that was only available in 2020. Like the Special, it has an ebony fingerboard and bridge base, DeArmond 2000 pickups, and bound headstock. However, it differs from the Special by having unbound F-holes, dot fret markers, and Guild harp tailpiece. In essence, it's a basic version of the Manhattan Special. One odd feature about this model is the headstock inlay that is reminscent of the Atari logo. Guild never used any design like it and its origin is a mystery. The less fancy Dynasonic model was offered in Scarlet Red and Black with black top Dyansonic pickups or in Snowcrest White with white top Dynasonics. The guitar shown here is a likely a one-off test model that has a Raspberry finish and compensated ebony saddle in place of the TOM bridge.
