FACTOIDS & TRIVIA
Fender always endeavored to have affordable student model guitars and amps in its product line. The Vibro Champ, a step above the Champ Amp, had a simple single-ended Class A design like the Champ, but offered a tremolo effect. Champs and Vibro Champs have been overlooked by players in the past since they were considered “practice” amps. However, many recording artists have used them effectively in the studio. With a 4 watt output, the Vibro Champ can be overdriven easily without excessive volume which is ideal in the studio. This particular amp has early silverface cosmetics, i.e - textured grill, aluminum trim, black lines on control panel.
