FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

After a 4 year hiatus, Guild, now owned by Cordoba Music Group, reintroduced the F-412 and renamed it the F-512 Maple. I refuse to call it that and will always refer to it as the F-412, so screw you Cordoba Music Group! The model basically followed the design recipe that was used when the F-412 was built in the New Hartford facility. However, there is still confusion about the sides of body being solid or laminated maple. A quick call to the fine folks in Oxnard confirmed that his model is currently made with laminated sides. Features included a lower profile neck with a single dual-acting truss rod reinforced with dual carbon fiber rods, red spruce bracing, and Gotoh "Sta-Tite" tuners which created a lighter weight guitar compared to its predecessors. In addition, the example shown here is fitted with a factory optional LR Baggs Anthem pickup system.
