FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

The 1960s F-40 and F-47 have a magical, smalle jumbo body shape that makes them extremely versatile guitars. Guild was brialliant to reintroduction the F-47 in 2007. The new model was built in Guild's Tacoma and New Hartford facilites from 2006 to 2014 as a reimagined version of the mid-1960s F-47 Bluegrass model. Guild updated the F-47 with the choice of two body woods (Indian rosewood or flame maple) and a red spruce top. It was also available with a cutaway. The version shown here has a non-cutaway rosewood body. It's nearly as loud as a dreadnaught and the overall tone of the F-47 is warm and lush.
