FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

Guild introduced the F-40 in November 2017 with the F-40E following by August 2018. The F-40 Traditional was late to the party and was introduced in January 2019.The F-40 has always been a 16-inch small jumbo guitar, but this model is based on the 17-inch full size jumbo F-48 Navarre of the mid-1970s. It should rightly be called an F-48 even though that model had straight bracing and a bound fingerboard with block markers. Guild is well known for their nomenclature not making sense so it is what it is. The F-40 Traditional is lightly build with scalloped red spruce bracing which results in a resonant and touch sensitive guitar.
