FACTOIDS & TRIVIA
The D-28 Marquis 12-fret is a Martin Custom Shop model (3 were made in 2009) and is basically a short-scale version of the regular production Vintage Series D-28VS but with an Adirondack spruce top. Like the rest of the Vintage Series, the Marquis series is not a true reissue of a pre-War model (the 12-fret D-28 in this case), but is inspired by it right down to the CF Martin stamp on the back of the headstock.
