FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

G&L is always full of surprises. The SC-3 was discontinued in 1991, but here is one from very early in 1992 that was probably made to fill an outstanding order even though it was no longer officially available. The really interesting thing about this oddball SC-3 is that it was built on the S-500 superstructure rather than the smaller standard SC-3 body and neck. Here is another example of an SC-3 built with an S-500 body and neck. Though a '92, the guitar retains the pre-BBE individual pickup routes and high gloss neck finish. It has a #1 (12-inch radius) fingerboard which is very unusual for any SC-3.
