FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

The L-2000 remained unaltered in the G&L line-up from late 1982 to mid-1985 when the front-loaded controls were changed to rear-loaded controls. This was done for marketing reasons in order to give the bass a cleaner appearance by eliminating the control plate on the front of the body. During the Leo Fender era, the L-2000 Signature was only offered in 1991 making pre-BBE examples very scarce.
