This is a very late example of a 1st style SC-2. It even has the old style diagonal cut Schaller tuners though most SC-2s were fitted with sealed G&L labeled Schallers by this time. January/February 1983 was a transitional period from the 1st "Mustang" body style and the 2nd "Strat" body style for the SC-series guitars.
