FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

In 1962 the Starfire III received 3-ply top binding, a bound back, and lost the 3-screw toggle switch plate.  Like the '61 Starfire III, this guitar has DeArmond Dynasonic pickups and laminated mahogany (sapele) body. This was the last year that Guild used the DeArmond pickups in regular production although they still found their way onto special orders from time to time.
